Do you like making homemade soups? If so what is your favorite soup to make? I just made potato soup last week that was so tasty. I will be making that over and over for sure. I also love making chicken soup. Trying to find a good tortilla soup recipe too. I had some in a restaurant that I really like but the one recipe I tried wasn't that great.

The nice thing about homemade soup is you can add whatever you want to it. I've had homemade clam chowder before and that is probably my favorite.

As do I. New England style is my favorite.

I prefer Manhattan clam chowder myself. Then again, I'm not big on creamy soups, so I guess that makes sense. Although, for some odd reason, I do love cream of asparagus soup, especially when it's home made.

Homemade soup is the best! My favorite so far is split pea soup with ham cooked in my slow cooker. delicious. Think I got the recipe from either everyday health or cooking light.

Yes. All though I am not a big fan of ham I do agree it is delicious with soup. I tend to fill up quickly with ham and soup helps digest it a little easier. If I could find a recipe to make broccoli chettar soup that would be awesome. That is another one of my favorites. Anybody ever try cucumber soup? I never have and I heard it's quite different.

I haven't, but I'm always looking to try new crockpot recipes. :)

You might be talking about taco soup.
one of my faves...

Ingredients:
• 2 pounds ground beef
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 can pinto beans
• 1 can whole kernel corn ,drained
• 1 can stewed tomatoes - mexican style
• 1 can Rotel tomatoes
• 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix -(opt.)
• 1 pkg. original hidden valley ranch dressing(dry)
• 2 1/2 cups water or more, to make soup broth

Preparation:
Brown ground beef and onions in a large pan, drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour or so. When ready, serve in big soup bowls,
and have a skillet of hot cornbread to eat, too.

In the slow cooker
I ground the beaf with onions, then toss all in slow cooker and cook on low for about 8 hours and high for about 4 hours.

I will take some of the taco soup that is drained since it is usually just me andmix it in with corn bread to make mexican corn bread.
